Below is a picture of the controller I built to obtain complete timing information for the Toss Up game. I'm not an expert when it comes to electronics so I can't claim that it's any good but it worked for me. Game B was in progress when I took this snap, if you look carefully you'll a score of 7290 has been amassed.
The lead on the top left comes directly from the parallel port on my PC, it goes through a couple of transistors which are then used to move the game characters arms. Two further wires come out of the game, these are connected to the piezo electric speaker, and are in turn fed into my sound card.
